Moving Rasa Discovery Cards
An experiential card practice for real-life questions — helping people build skill in consent, connection, and values through body awareness, imagery, and relationship to place.
Movement optional.
What Are the Discovery Cards?
The Discovery Cards are a movement-based reflection deck.
Most reflection decks focus on interpreting symbols.
Discovery Cards invite you to explore your relationship to a card through movement, attention, and environment.
Instead of looking for the right interpretation, the practice helps insight emerge through embodied experience and relational discovery.
They help people:
• slow down and notice what is present
• explore difficult questions with care
• reconnect to their body and intuition
• find grounded next steps in real life
Used:
• solo
• in guided readings
• in workshops and community practice
What You’ll Leave with
In a Discovery Reading
• a calmer nervous system
• clarity about what matters most right now
• one grounded next step
• relief from feeling stuck or overwhelmed
As You Integrate the Practice
• stronger relationship to your intuition
• more sustainable rhythms in your life
• clearer relational boundaries
• the ability to return to the practice when new questions arise
Discovery readings don’t offer advice about what you should do.
Instead, they help you recognize the signal already present in your life — in your body, relationships, and environment. Many people leave with a sense of calm, clarity, and one small next step that feels both possible and meaningful.
Change that lasts comes from practice — small shifts that integrate into everyday life.
Inside the Discovery Deck
The Discovery Deck includes 33 illustrated cards designed to support reflection, embodied awareness, and relational discovery.
The deck includes three kinds of cards — Lenses, Animist, and Suwung — each offering a different doorway into movement, meaning, and exploration.
Some cards help you notice patterns in the body and relationships. Others invite connection with place, environment, and the more-than-human world. Others open space for emergence, ambiguity, and what cannot yet be fully named.
The cards can be explored through:
reflection and journaling
movement and spatial placement
conversation and shared inquiry
Used solo, in partnership, or in small groups, the deck forms the foundation of Discovery Card readings, workshops, and deeper Moving Rasa practice. The practice is currently explored using a simple prototype of the cards created during the development process. The final deck is now being illustrated by an artist in Indonesia as the project continues to evolve through real-world practice.
The imagery draws inspiration from Indonesian environments and everyday gestures, grounding the deck in place, movement, and relational awareness.
Ways to Experience the Discovery Cards
The cards can be explored in several ways — starting with a simple practice and expanding into readings, workshops, and deeper integration.

Many people begin with a single discovery and return to the cards over time as new questions arise. Sessions follow a gentle process that helps people orient to what’s present, explore through the cards, and integrate what becomes clear.
Impact & Proof
MR Discovery Cards were created and prototyped in 2025, where we did:
100+ readings
10 trained readers
4 six-week circles
Used across ages, abilities, genders, classes, professions; in nonprofits, universities, street fairs, and a national philanthropy convening.
Stories: a burned-out mother reclaimed rest; a daughter found space to grieve; a retired elder reconnected to creativity.
What Participants Say
Audio testimony of three recipients:
A Practice Rooted In Care
Consent-Led
You are always free to pause, redirect, or choose how you participate.
Trauma-Aware
No movement or personal disclosure is required. You can engage at whatever level feels comfortable.
Accessible
Practices can be adapted for different bodies, mobility levels, and environments.
Participant-Led Pace
The process unfolds slowly enough for people to notice what is actually present rather than pushing toward quick answers.
The goal is not to push toward a breakthrough, but to support discovery in a way that feels sustainable and respectful.
