Why the Discovery Cards Exist
My parents immigrated from Indonesia after living through colonization, war, and ethnic persecution as Chinese Indonesians. Growing up, I was taught to assimilate, to survive by blending in.
Years later, when I became a father, I began to feel how much of my own culture, history, and embodied knowing I had learned to leave behind.
The Discovery Cards grew from that question: what helps us reconnect with the parts of ourselves, our bodies, our places, and our relationships that have been quieted or forgotten?
Rooted in the Indonesian idea of rasa, taste, essence, felt sense, the cards invite us to explore questions not by solving them, but by relating to them through image, movement, imagination, and the world around us.
This first edition is a way of bringing that practice into more homes, communities, and everyday spaces.
WHY EARLY SUPPORT MATTERS
The Discovery Cards are being independently created through community support, collaboration, and years of movement and relational practice. The first 24-48 hours of a Kickstarter Launch are most critical for building momentum for its success!

From Sketch to First Edition
The Discovery Cards are still coming into form. Some cards are moving from early sketch into final illustration, while others are closer to completion. Early support helps complete the full 33-card deck, guidebook, and companion practices.
