Welcoming Our Design Intern: Iyari Heredia Zenteno

It’s been a wonderful experience having an intern join the Moving Rasa team this season. We met Iyari. (he/him) through Miya Osaki, director at the Design for Social Innovation (DSI) program at the School of Visual Arts, where we’ve had the joy of offering programs and collaborations in recent years.

Iyari lives in San Diego and is completing his undergraduate degree in graphic design, fulfilling 150 internship hours as part of his path to attending a program like DSI. He brings a unique blend of intuitive artistry and technical skill—his own practice of intuitive drawing and experience with Tarot give him a natural attunement to Rasa and embodied creativity.

Throughout this internship, he’s been developing skills in website design, newsletter building, and team collaboration. It’s been a joy to see his ideas grow under the mentorship of Leighann, whose background in communications and operations helps bridge creative expression with practical workflow perspectives.

Together, we are revamping the website and overall approach to our social media and presence.

Iyari designs from the heart, feeling deeply into the essence of what’s being created. His indigenous Mexican roots and commitment to intuitive process resonate strongly with Moving Rasa’s values of connection, culture, and authenticity. We’re grateful for his presence and look forward to his continued growth and our creative journey together.
